Style 98 is well suited for challenging process conditions, when several are happening at the same time (Temperature, speed, friction, load, harsh media, etc.). Manufactured from high purity staple fiber, this most conformable carbon packing, makes it easy to install and adjust quickly to minimize downtime and shorten break-in period. Yarns are individually coated with high temperature, non-petroleum-based graphite blocking agent and lubricant, ensuring uniformity of coverage. They are then dried prior to braiding to thoroughly remove unwanted moisture. Its high thermal conductivity and ideal lubrification helps the process run cooler and packing last longer.
